Wedding photo booth ideas for Singapore couples

By Receipt Booth · 21 October 2026 · 5 min read

A photo booth gives your guests something to do and something to take home. If you are planning a wedding in Singapore and thinking about adding one, here are ideas for getting more from it. These are ideas, not rules. Use what suits your day.

1. Put your names and date on every print

If you buy a booth, you can make prints feel like yours by customising the template in the app: add your names, the date and a short line, and every guest leaves with a keepsake from your day. Renting in Singapore? Ask us about a custom print template.

2. Make the prints your guest book

Ask guests to stick their print into a book or onto a card and write a message beside it. Use sticker paper for this: it prints a sticker they can stick on the page. A receipt photo booth can print on sticker paper as well as receipt paper, so you can choose the format that suits your book. Read more about receipt and sticker paper.

3. Use receipt prints as keepsakes

Receipt paper prints a receipt-style strip, a small, light keepsake guests can tuck into a pocket or a wallet. If you like the receipt look, a receipt photo booth is a different choice from the usual glossy strip.

4. Sticker favours

Place a few sticker prints into your favour boxes or on thank-you cards. Guests can stick them on a phone case, a laptop or a notebook.

5. Choose a spot guests already pass

Because the booth is compact (23.5 x 23.5 x 24.5 cm), it can sit on a table. Put it where guests already gather, such as near the entrance, by the drinks or near the guest book. Check there is a power socket within reach: it is plug and play, so a socket is all it needs.

6. Let guests run it themselves

Receipt Booth is self-service, so there is no attendant to book. Guests tap the screen, pose and the print comes out. You can enjoy your day instead of managing a booth.

7. Plan your paper

One roll prints about 200 to 400 photos, depending on layout. A Receipt Booth rental includes one receipt paper roll. If you expect many guests, think about your layout and how many prints each guest might take. If you are buying a booth, you can order paper refills.

8. Think about the handover

If you rent in Singapore, you can self-collect the day before your wedding and return it the day after, at no extra charge. Or choose delivery (Singapore rental pricing: S$50 each way), between 9 am and 9 pm. Plan the handover around your venue's access times. See the rental terms.

9. If you are a planner or venue

If you run many weddings, owning a booth can be easier than renting for each. See the current price on the Receipt Booth product page, and compare on the rent or buy page.

10. Keep the date flexible, but not too flexible

When you rent, you can reschedule once if you ask at least 14 days before the event. We do not accept cancellations. Confirm your wedding date before you book.

Quick planning checklist

  • Confirm your wedding date before you book, because there are no cancellations and one reschedule.
  • Decide on receipt paper, sticker paper or both, and what you want the template to say.
  • Choose self-collection or delivery, and check your venue's access times against the 9 am to 9 pm delivery window.
  • Find a table and a power socket near where guests gather.
  • Tell a friend or the planner where the booth is and that it is self-service, so everyone knows guests can simply tap and print.

A note on keepsakes

The best wedding keepsakes are small and easy to carry. A print that fits in a pocket, or a sticker that goes on a card, asks nothing of the guest. That is why a receipt-style print is a good match for a long day, when guests are moving between the ceremony, the meal and the party.

Ideas by wedding style

A small, quiet wedding. A single table with the booth and a stack of cards is enough. Guests print a photo, stick it to a card and leave a note for you.

A larger reception. Place the booth away from the main path so a queue does not block the room, but close enough that guests notice it. Because it is self-service, one guest after another can use it without anyone running it.

A planner's package. If you plan weddings for clients, the same booth can go to every event. It is compact enough to move between venues, and you can change the template for each couple.

What to put on the print

Keep it short. Names, the date and perhaps a short line are enough. Prints are small, and a clean template reads better than a crowded one. Use your wedding colours in the template if you like, and keep text large enough to read.
